1. To insert in-text citation(s) in Word:
- Place the cursor where you want to insert your in-text citations.
- Go to the 'References' tab in Word, select 'Mendeley Cite'. The Mendeley Cite add-in window will appear on the right-hand side of Word.
- Select the reference(s) you want to insert to your Word document, or search for a keyword in the search box. Choose 'Insert Citation'.
Please note: You can also insert multiple citations into your Word document by selecting the square box(es) in front of reference(s).
2. To insert the Reference list:
- After adding the in-text citation(s), you can add the Reference list to your document.
- Place your cursor to where you want to insert the Reference list (usually placed at the end of your document), select the 'three dots' icon on Mendeley Cite add-in, choose 'Insert Bibliography'.
- Mendeley will automatically update the Reference List as you insert more in-text citations to your Word document.
