Mendeley Web importer allows you to add references quickly to your Mendeley library from the internet.
You can install the Web Importer to your internet browser from this link: https://www.mendeley.com/reference-management/web-importer
Or you can install it from Mendeley Desktop- go to 'Tools', and select 'Install Web Importer'.
Tip: after you install the Web Importer, you can pin it in your internet browser toolbar so you can easily use it to capture references. As you browse the internet, you can select the Web Importer to add references to your Mendeley library (log in with Mendeley account required).
Note: It is still a good practice to proofread the details (authors, title, publication year, type) of the references that you added to your Mendeley library. When the details are not correct, or missing, you may need to modify those.
To locate the references added using the Web Importer, you can check the 'Recently Added' tab on the left-hand side column.
Note: Select the 'Sync' button in Mendeley Desktop if you can't find the references you just added.
