A trade journal targets a particular industry or trade group. They publish news and feature articles that focus on topics of interest to professionals in the target audience. Industry-specific ads and job postings are a feature. Although neither scholarly nor peer reviewed they are still considered a high quality source of information.
While not academic or scholarly, magazines and newspapers or news sites are still valuable sources of information. They generally discuss the more practical aspects of a topic, sometimes providing case studies. They are also a good sources of current information and a place to search for trends relating to a discipline.
