You will be sent an activation email and, once verified, you will be redirected to AdForum (your profile will appear at the top right of the page when signed in).

  1. Select the Join button (top right of screen).
  2. Fill in the fields as required.
  3. Agree to the terms and conditions.
  4. Select Join.

Note: Once you have created an account make sure to access AdForum via the Library to take advantage of all features available to subscribers, including sharing of Playlists.

Finding content in AdForum

To find content, go to the AdForum homepage and use the drop-down and free-text boxes to browse AdForum's Creative Library for content. You can also search using keywords and filter by relevance or date. Select an individual video to view it.

When you search for content, you can create an email alert to receive a notification for new ads that match your predetermined criteria. You can also share links to individual videos, as well as to your searches.

Reading Lists

See more information about Reading Lists on the library guide Reading Lists in Canvas.

To add a video in Reading Lists

Videos in AdForum are not currently indexed in LibrarySearch. The best way to add videos from AdForum is to use Cite it, as detailed on the Reading Lists in Canvas guide.

  1. The Cite it function will autofill some parts of the citation details. Check the fields for Title, Author, Type, Duration, Publisher, Publication date, and if needed, a public note.
  2. Once complete, add to the appropriate section of the Reading List.
  3. Select ADD.

If Cite it is not available, follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to the selected video in AdForum, making sure it is taken from the page once logged in. Copy the URL of the video page.
  2. In Reading Lists, select ADD ITEMS, or select the ellipsis for your preferred section and select Add Items from the menu.
  3. In the right sidebar, select Create
  4. For Type, select Video, then add title, author and date information.
  5. In Source, paste the URL of the video.
  6. Select the section of the list desired
  7. Then select Add at the bottom of the sidebar.
