Researcher Profiles and ORCID iDs

Maximise the visibility of your research outputs by discovering how to establish a researcher profile.

Promoting and sharing your research via other applications

You can link a range of other profile applications to the 'Websites' option on your ORCID profile. Examples might include:

  • Twitter
  • Linkedin
  • ResearchGate
  • Social Science Research Network (SSRN)

Some issues to keep in mind:

  • Do you have the publisher's permission to upload your paper to a social network such as or ResearcherGate?
  • Does your organisation have a social media policy? If so, make sure you are adhering to it.
  • Do you use social media personally and professionally? Consider creating separate accounts for each purpose.
