Search and find Australian and international standards on a variety of subject areas. Learn how to request standards not available at RMIT.

Personal devices

Follow 'Downloading Instruction' from SAI Global website.

RMIT Public PCs

Public PCs should now have the FileOpen app available via the start menu. However, downloaded PDFs may not automatically open within this app.

Solution: Open FileOpen and navigate to File > Open >then select the downloaded PDF. May also need to sign in to Adobe Creative Cloud.

RMIT Staff PCs and laptops

FileOpen is available to download from the software center. PDFs are unable to be opened in a browser.

Solution: Open file from Downloads folder or within Adobe Reader/Acrobat DC. Use the Always open option for the file type if this is available.

RMIT MyDesktop

FileOpen is available under All Apps in MyDesktop. Access SAI Global from within MyDesktop to ensure the downloaded PDF is available for the FileOpen app to access (files cannot be transferred between local computer storage and MyDesktop).
