In the major citation databases, such as Scopus and Web of Science, case study is not a defined document type. In using these databases to search, use "case study" and "case studies" as keyword search terms.
In health and allied medicine, a case study usually refers to the case of a particular patient or group of patients and their treatment.
Medical case studies can be found in medical journals and databases.
In the Healthcare Administration Database and the Public Health database, both found in ProQuest, "case study" can be selected as a document type.
Informit health database does not allow searching by cases. To search in this database, use "case study" and "case studies" as additional search terms.
